Course Outcome

At the end of the course participants of the course should become acquainted with the Smart P&ID user Interface. Become capable of drafting intelligent P&IDs that can store data of the various items included in it.

  • Introduction to P&IDs
  • Understanding the Smart P&ID Architecture
  • Creating Sites, Plant Structures & Drawings
  • Familiarizing with the Smart P&ID Interface
  • Rules Based Consistency Checking
  • Version Control of Drawings, Creating Revisions
  • Creating Backup & Restoring Backup
  • Report Generation
  • Managing User Permissions
  • Creating Assemblies, Display Sets, New Symbols and Modifying Existing Symbols

Intended participants:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Draftsmen with CAD experience
  • Hobbyists interested in learning a new professional software

Prerequisites:

  • Working knowledge of windows operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
